What is the new Maia credit-based pricing system?
The new Maia pricing system is designed to give you more flexibility by allowing you to pay only for the features you use. Instead of fixed monthly fees, you now purchase and use credits to access Maia’s features as needed.
How do the Free and Elite subscriptions work?
- Free: No monthly fees and includes 50 Maia Credits every month, which you can use for any Maia feature.
- Elite: For €5 per month, you receive 500 Maia Credits. The subscription will renew automatically every month.
You can also purchase additional Maia Credit packages for more flexibility:
- Small: €5 for 500 Maia Credits
- Medium: €10 for 1000 Maia Credits
- Large: €30 for 3000 Maia Credits
What is included in the Free monthly subscription?
With the Free subscription, you receive 50 Maia Credits each month at no cost. You can spend these on any Maia feature, such as text generation, image creation, file translation, or transcription. It’s a great way to explore Maia without any commitment.
Which features can I access with my Maia Credits?
Maia Credits can be used for any Maia feature, including:
- Text generation
- Creating original images
- Translating files
- Transcribing audio and video files
You can decide how to allocate your Maia Credits based on your needs.
Do I need to do anything to switch to the new Maia Credits plans?
No, the transition to the new plans happens automatically. You don’t need to take any action.
What happens if I run out of Maia Credits with the Free monthly subscription?
Have you run out of Maia Credits? Don't worry, you have two options:
- Wait until next month when your 50 Maia Credits will renew (yay for free stuff!).
- Or, you can upgrade to the Elite plan for 500 Maia Credits per month, so you don’t have to wait any longer!

What happens if I run out of Maia Credits with my Elite Monthly Membership?
If you use up your 500 monthly MAIA Credits, you can purchase additional MAIA Credits packages whenever you need them:
- Small: €5 for 500 MAIA Credits
- Medium: €10 for 1000 MAIA Credits
- Large: €30 for 3000 MAIA Credits

Can I purchase additional MAIA Credit packages while on the Free plan?
No, only Elite users can purchase extra MAIA Credit packages. If you’re on the Free plan and need more MAIA Credits, you will first need to upgrade to the Elite subscription.
How can I track my Maia Credits?
You can easily track your MAIA Credits with an intuitive MAIA Credit counter visible at all times while using the platform. This lets you monitor your remaining MAIA Credits and get a breakdown of your usage at any time.
How many Maia Credits do I need for Maia’s features?
Each feature uses a certain number of Maia Credits based on the type of task and the operations needed to generate the result.
For example, with the Free plan (50 Maia Credits), you can generate up to 100 images or perform around 15 text generation or information search tasks per month.
With the Elite plan (500 Maia Credits), you can generate up to 1000 images or perform about 75 text generation or information search tasks per month.
Can I cancel my Elite monthly subscription at any time?
Yes, you can cancel your Elite monthly subscription at any time.
What happens to my MAIA Credits if I don't use them by the end of the month? Do I get to keep them to use next month?
The 50 MAIA Credits from the Free plan and the 500 MAIA Credits from the Elite plan are valid for one month: if not used within the current month, they will not carry over to the next.
However, MAIA Credits from additional packages do not expire. They are tied to your account and can be used as long as your Elite plan remains active.
If you downgrade to the Free plan, you will not be able to use additional MAIA Credits until you reactivate the Elite subscription with the same account.
